Charlotte joined the team in 2023 as gardener and administrative assistant. Having worked in a plant nursery prior to her role at True Stripe, she has a plethora of plant and gardening knowledge.

About Us
My love for plants began early—as a child, I was fascinated by growing chillies and herbs indoors and spent countless hours helping my family tend our garden. My professional journey into horticulture started unexpectedly in 2020 during lockdown. With time on my hands, I decided to stay productive by enrolling in an RHS course, initially expecting to return to my previous career once things returned to normal.
However, after just a few weeks of immersing myself in every horticulture book, video, and podcast I could find, I realized this was more than a temporary interest—it was the direction I wanted to take my career. What started as a way to fill time during lockdown had awakened a deep professional passion
While working at a local plant nursery, I met Charlotte, who shared my passion for plants and gardening. A couple of years later, we'd bought our first home together and added a delightful dose of chaos with our puppy, Dibby. Both Charlotte and Dibby have become not just vital parts of my life, but integral members of our family business - Charlotte brings her own expertise and dedication to our work, while Dibby serves as our unofficial morale booster and occasional site supervisor.
After several years working in the gardening industry, I gained valuable insights into what clients truly needed and how the business could be run more effectively. This experience inspired me to start my own venture, initially offering a comprehensive range of general gardening services including landscaping, plant care, pruning, and lawn maintenance.
From the beginning, I was committed to providing professional, reliable, and personable service at fair prices. I believed that building genuine relationships with clients was just as important as delivering quality work. This approach resonated with the local community, and I quickly developed a base of loyal clients who appreciated both the quality of work and the personal attention they received.
As the business grew, I began to notice patterns in what our clients valued most and where we could deliver the greatest impact. After a few years of operation, we made a strategic decision to simplify our services and focus exclusively on what had become our specialty: lawn mowing and maintenance.
This wasn't just about focusing on our favorite work—though we genuinely love transforming overgrown lawns into pristine outdoor spaces. By concentrating our efforts, resources, and expertise on lawn care, we discovered we could operate much more efficiently. We invested in better equipment, refined our techniques, and streamlined our scheduling. The result? We can now provide superior results at better value for our clients, while maintaining the same personal, reliable service that built our reputation.
Today, we take pride in being lawn care specialists who understand that a well-maintained lawn is often the foundation of a beautiful property. Our focused approach allows us to deliver consistent, professional results that our clients can count on, week after week.
